Donald McKinney at Caves of Wemyss which features in his first novel Donald McKinney is the convener of the Celtic Circle and is a former lecturer in Spanish history and politics. Since 1986 he has followed a more spiritual path. He now works with earth energies, spirits and trees and sees them as major tools in helping develop spiritual awareness.
Donald McKinney is the author of two books on Celtic spirituality: Walking the Mist: Celtic Spirituality for the 21st Century and Celtic Angels: Angelic Guidance For Your Path Through Life. He also has a collection of short stories: Why We Howl at the Moon. They are available throughout the world but if you have any trouble obtaining a copy they can be ordered from our shop. Donald has also produced Celtic Meditation CD and Celtic Angel Meditation CD.
He lives with his partner in Caithness on the north coast of Scotland. Together they run Body & Soul Events, Scotland’s foremost mind, body, spirit events company.
Apart from writing, Donald spends his time walking the moors and deserted beaches of the north of Scotland. He seeks out the magical sites and people in a constant quest to understand this marvellous life that we all have.
